Locke’s is a small, very small, bakery specializing in custom work. We keep a few treats and made-from-scratch cookies
for walk-in customers. Everything else is made fresh to order.
We are one of the few area bakeries that have resisted commoditization. With the exception of some specialized
coverings, all of our products are made in our bakery, in small batches, with quality ingredients.
We will create anything within the scope of our customer’s imagination – only restricted by the limitations of
gravity, our ability to lift it and the parameters of good taste.
Our backgrounds contribute to this:
Marilyn is a retired Middle School Arts and Crafts Instructor, Clar is a retired Hallmark Artist and Design
Director, Rosalyn is a retired Primary School Teacher with lifelong involvement in crafts and handwork.
Although we love large challenging projects, we pay equal attention to the small ceremonies of life. An order for
an elderly neighbor’s monthly bridge party receives the same attention and craftsmanship as a Wedding or Quinceañera
Cake for several hundred guests.
We create fancy decorated cakes and cookies to celebrate rites of passage – birthdays, engagements, showers,
christenings, anniversaries, retirements. We can reproduce organizational logos or photos in edible icing.
